I asked if there was anything else I would need to build this boat, I got this from Robert in Australia. Does anyone know what a "spokeshave" is ? Answers on a postcard.
I knew what a spokeshave was when I was in 1a, Acklam Hall School, Middlesbrough, which is in England. The woodwork teacher lived next door to us. He was a miserable git. I made a wooden toast rack in a year, and it served no practical purpose whatsoever. I was good at Maths, though. So there you go. Your Dad
It has a handle at each end and a blade in the middle. you draw it towards you to shave off thin slivers of wood. There are millions of google images. All woodwork teachers were miserable gits by the way. I think they learnt it in second year!
